I wanted to have something for my character to do when he’s at the convince store, I thought buying scratch offs could be one of them. I’m trying to think of other things I could add to the mix that would be cool and maybe could effect the characters mental state. I can think of a few cool things to do with scratch offs that could mess with the player so I thought it would be a good addition. I guess the problem is I’m not 100% sure how far I should go with it. I’m going to have maybe 4 different cards.
The problem comes with the money, adding in money creates a whole new set of things, now what do I do when he runs out, how does he get more? Or maybe I give him enough that it doesn’t matter in the grand scheme of things…. idk still thinking about this.

But I have something cool here I think.
I’m trying to build things out while I write the store, I have a very small sorta truck stop town type thing going on, so I have plenty to build while I’m thinking about the story. My goal still is to finish by Halloween… so I’ll evaluate where I am at on the 15th and then cut down the scope of the story if I need to so I can get it out.
My key with these games per month is to create something unique in a very short time frame. My focus on these is PURELY game design and concepts that are unique, also the GETTING IT DONE… aspect of game design. I really need to find a work flow that works for me, that I can expand from 1 month to 6-12 months of development time where I can keep on track. So yes there will be AI artwork used with this game (the horror)… lol
And don’t get me wrong, I understand we need to support artists… but at the same time, I could never focus on game dev and level design and story.. and all these other things cause I always get bogged down in the art aspect… and I don’t have the money to pay an artist, so this is the perfect solution… in a semi learning environment… for any game that I would create as an official project, the use of AI anything would be minimal.
